Chloe & Nathan
I rushed out of the dance studio, with my bag over my shoulder and a starbucks coffee in the other hand. I wasn’t looking where I was going as I suddenly felt someones body collide with mine and the coffee miraculously spilt onto the opposite person.
I bit on my lip awaiting a horrible lecture but instead I spoke.
“Oh…I’m so sorry!” I said, trying to dab the stain of coffee on his t-shirt.
“It’s fine…it’s not my top anyway.” he said, letting out a soft chuckle as my eyes met his. He has bluey-green eyes and a floppy side fringe that fell onto his forehead perfectly. His smile could light up the whole room as his white teeth glistened in the sunlight.
“I should buy you a new t-shirt…” I said, smiling apologetically at him as I tucked my hair behind my ear. He smirked slightly, “Well…we’ll swap numbers. I’ll buy you a coffee and you can get me a shirt.”
I nodded and wrote down my number on a spare bit of paper, “Sounds like a plan.” I said, smiling.
He looked at the paper and then back at me, “Chloe. Nice name for a beautiful girl.”
First thought: Charmer.
“And you are?…” I asked, questioningly.
He smiled, “Nathan…”
We looked at each other for a while until I heard this faint Manchester accent in the background.
“Erm…I better be off. I’ll call you.” he said, smiling at me before disappearing into the distance with a coffee stained t-shirt and my phone number.
